Vasiliy V. Serov was born August 11, 1941, in the village of Panfilovo, in the ancient province of Muromsk, Russia.

In 1953 he was accepted  to the Moscow Arts School of the Moscow Surikov State Arts Institute and soon after was awarded first prize in a painting competition in India.

In 1965, Vasiliy Serov, Jr. graduated with honors from the Surikov Institute, Moscow Art College, named after the master painter V. I. Surikov and began to participate in exhibitions.

In 1968 accepted in the creative workshop with the academy of
“Artist of Russia”

In 1970 Vasiliy is accepted into the union of artists of Russia.

In 1989 he is selected to be the chairman of the painting section in MOOCX, Moscow.

In 2003 Serov was awarded the distinction of "Honored Artist of Russia."

Serov has participated in 13 all-Union exhibitions in Russia and his works can be found in museums, art galleries, and private collections all over the world.
